Kids Coding and Website Development

Most Saturday mornings in Leesburg there is a group of young people who get together and learn to code, develop websites, and gain other computer skills valuable for school and later their professional development.

Ranging from 4 to 15, the children come from diverse family backgrounds including Peru, Mexico, Bolivia, Pakistan, Puerto Rico and enjoy spending time together while pursuing personal computer-related projects.

The class is guided by outstanding volunteer mentors, some with IT backgrounds, who serve as mentors and create a positive, productive and enjoyable learning environment that keeps the students coming back week after week. A few students write regular blogs on their websites which reflect their inner creativity and interests while developing their writing skills.
